3rd September 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

At this announced inspection we spoke with four patients who used the practice for their dental treatment. They all told us they were satisfied with the dental treatment they received. One individual we spoke with told us, “They are very friendly and approachable”. Another patient said staff were, “always helpful and very accommodating”. We also spoke with eight members of staff including the practice manager, and the registered manager who was a dentist at the practice.

Before patients received any care or treatment they were asked for their consent and the provider acted in accordance with their wishes. Patients told us they could express their views and make informed decisions about their treatment.

Patients experienced care, treatment and support that met their needs and protected their rights. A member of staff we spoke with told us, “I am very proud of this practice, we work together and it has a family feel”, and another member of staff said, “The dentists are always willing to help patients”.

There were procedures in place to clean and sterilise dental equipment to minimise the risk of patients getting an infection.

The practice had an effective complaints system.
