15th January 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

During this inspection we spoke with four patients, the practice owner two dentists and three dental nurses. We also spoke with the practice manager, who had been in post since December 2013. The manager was in the process of making changes they believed were required by the service. Some of these changes were not completed at the time of this inspection.

Patients were satisfied with the care and treatment they received. They said dentists explained treatment and costs before proceeding with their care. One patient told us their dentist was "good with kids" when explaining their dental care needs.

Staff told us they were supported in delivering effective and appropriate care to patients. Clinicians maintained the personal development required to meet the standards of their governing body.

The practice was clean and patients were protected against the risk of healthcare associated infection. Appropriate hygiene and infection control guidance was followed.
