7th May 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

During our visit we spoke with five people who were waiting to receive treatment at the practice. The people we spoke with had attended the practice for different periods of time and were waiting different types of treatment. We also spoke with six members of staff who carried out different roles.

People told us that they had confidence in staff working at the practice and had always been satisfied with the treatment provided or proposed. They told us that fees and treatment had always been explained to them and that they had always been asked to complete a health history form and discussed this with their dentist. Records we viewed confirmed this.

We found that the practice had followed good hygiene practices and had relevant checks and certificates in place to evidence this. People told us that they had always found the practice to be clean during their visit and that staff had used appropriate infection control measures including use of disposable equipment.

Staff told us that they had received the support and training they had needed to undertake their role effectively and records we saw confirmed this.
