14th August 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We visited the practice and spoke to one dentist, one dental nurse, the practice manager and four patients who were waiting or had just completed appointments while we were inspecting the premises.

One patient told us "[the dentist] is lovely and helpful". Another patient told us they received "first class service" at the surgery.

We looked at five patient records from both NHS and private treatments and saw that people had signed their treatment plans and had been given information about their courses of treatment. People we spoke with told us they had been told about their treatment and given options before the treatment started.

The surgery had necessary emergency drugs and members of staff were aware of how to manage a medical emergency. Staff had up to date training in clinical practice and there were regular team meetings to ensure learning was shared.

We saw patient feedback surveys which were collated every six months. We saw that the practice had conducted two infection control audits over the past year.
