11th December 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

The provider conducted an independent patient survey and we found that the feedback from people was very positive. One person had described the service as "a practice with a heart." Another described the service as "...friendly, reassuring and extremely professional."

During our visit we spoke with two people using the service and they told us that they were very happy with their treatment and the advice they received about dental health. They were also complimentary about the professionalism of staff and we found that staff were recruited safely.

People were consulted about their treatment plans and given the opportunity to consider the options available to them. Arrangements were in place to obtain and record informed consent prior to starting treatment.

The risks associated with individual people's general and dental health were routinely assessed as confirmed by their records. There were good arrangements in place to manage emergencies effectively and to identify and report any concerns about children or vulnerable people.
