10th January 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People using the services were always involved in discussions related to their care and treatment. Sufficient details related to the proposed care and treatment was always provided which ensured the person could make an informed decision. Care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure people's safety and welfare. People using the services experienced safe care and treatment that met their needs and protected their rights. Before leaving a person`s home, staff members always ensured all doors and windows were locked which maintained the person`s safety and wellbeing.

A staff member said new employees were well supported during the induction process which included a period of shadowing an experienced member of staff until such time as they felt confident enough to work independently. People who used the service, their families and staff were asked for their views about their care and treatment and the provider took account of any complaints or comments to help improve the service. The provider reviewed care plans regularly which allowed them to monitor the quality of care and support people received.

3rd January 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People told us they had received a visit from a representative from the agency before the service commenced. They told us their needs had been discussed and they had agreed to the support to be provided. They told us their carers provided sensitive and flexible personal care support and they felt well cared for. They said they had no concerns about the care being provided and they felt safe and protected from potential harm.
