17th October 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

As part of the inspection we spoke with two people who used the service. Both the people we spoke with were complimentary of the care and treatment they had received and of the staff who worked at the service. One person said: " The staff are excellent."

We looked at the care records of five people who used the service. These showed us that peoples' treatment had been discussed with them and recorded appropriately with referrals to other health professionals made as appropriate.

During our visit we observed staff treating people in a kind, professional, friendly and respectful manner. We saw that the environment was clean and that systems were in place to ensure that people were cared for in a hygienic environment. We saw that staff were registered with the General Dental Council and records of their continuing professional development activities were maintained.
