13th August 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

On 13 August 2013, during our inspection of Shefford Dental Practice, we spoke with four people who had seen a dentist. All told us that they had confidence in the dentists and were pleased with the service they received. They told us they appreciated the continuity of staff at the practice. One person told us, ''The dentist is very good, so are the nurses. The surgery is very clean. My whole family comes here: several generations.'' Another said, ''The dentist doesn't push work that is not necessary and we can decide on a timed plan of action. They are lovely and very helpful. I like the continuity.''

The surgery had sufficient processes in place to ensure that treatment was delivered safely. All areas of the building were clean and tidy and there were robust infection control processes in place to ensure people were treated safely. The provider regularly audited many aspects of the practice, including patient records and infection control.

People told us they would be confident in discussing any shortfall or complaints if it were necessary.
