8th August 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People we spoke with told us that staff were friendly and respectful and that they received good information about their oral health. People told us that getting appointments at a time suitable for them was easy, and that they were rarely kept waiting once they had arrived at the practice. One person told us that she had in fact rung that morning and got an appointment the same day. Another person described the service as, “Excellent”. We also viewed comments received from a recent patient survey conducted by the practice which included, “A lovely dental practice, caring and empathetic staff”. Another person had reported, “Having arrived early for an appointment the receptionist very kindly made me a cup of tea”.

The provider was compliant in all outcome areas we assessed. We found that infection control and decontamination processes were robust and ensured people were protected from the risk of infection; that people’s suggestions and concerns were taken seriously and used to improve the service and that staff received good support and training for their role. All evidence indicated this was a well-run, modern and effective dental service that worked hard to exceed industry standards.
