15th May 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

Before people received any care or treatment they were asked for their consent and the provider acted in accordance with their wishes and where people did not have the capacity to consent, the provider acted in accordance with legal requirements.

One patient said, “They normally explain treatment before starting and they obtain my consent”.

Care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure people's safety and welfare.

We spoke with three patients who used the practice about their experience of Simply-Bright dental practice. They told us that they liked the practice. They commented, "I have been using this practice for about four years and I can assure you they provide a brilliant service”. “It has been absolutely fine, it is good here and they make you feel at ease”. “Perfect".

People who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse, because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening.

There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection.

People were cared for, or supported by, suitably qualified, skilled and experienced staff.

The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received.

People had their comments and complaints listened to and acted on, without the fear that they would be penalised for making a complaint.
