10th January 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke to one patient during our visit to the service and two patients afterwards by telephone. People were highly complimentary about the quality of the service provided at the practice. One patient told us "I always feel safe there and would have no hesitation in recommending the practice to a friend". Another said "A superb, excellent service, kind and friendly staff". People told us they had been visiting the practice for a number of years and knew and trusted the staff. They said dentists explained treatment options to them in a way they could understand and fully explained the various costs involved.

We saw the provider sought consent for treatment appropriately. Records and documentation for people who use the service was up-to-date and appropriately stored. Medical and dental information was accurately documented. The premises were clean and well organised and staff routinely followed infection control procedures when carrying out treatments. Staff received appropriate training to enhance their knowledge and skills and to keep them up-to-date. The practice regularly sought the views of people who use the service. Regular auditing of records was carried out.
