16th December 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

On the day of our visit we spoke to five people about their treatment and care and observed two people being treated at the practice.

All the people we spoke to were very satisfied with the treatment offered at the surgery. One person said, ‘the treatment here is excellent; I have widely recommended the practice.’ Another person said, ‘best dentist I have had but he tells me about my smoking!’

We saw that the staff treated people with respect and that the treatment provided met people’s individual needs. There was good information available for people about the practice and a range of health issues.

Treatment was provided in one of three treatment rooms. The premises were clean and attractive and people were protected from the risk of infection because the practice followed the government’s guidance on this.

Records and files were well organised. From the files we saw that people were treated by staff who were of good character and were properly qualified. We saw that an effective complaints procedure was in place should people wish to make a complaint.
