People that we spoke with on the day of our visit were very positive about the care they received at Smilesaver Dental Care. We were told that staff were "friendly and professional" and that treatments were well explained. One person commented that the dentist would explain the "technical terms". Several people gave examples of when they had been seen in an emergency, including at weekends and on bank holidays.

People were cared for in a clean and hygienic environment and the procedures for decontaminating and sterilising dental instruments met with the requirements of the Health Technical Memorandum 01-05 (HTM). This is the guidance that all dentists must follow to ensure that their practice is safe and minimises the risks of cross infection.

People were treated by staff who had been trained in managing medical emergencies and in safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. There were policies and procedures in place to support staff in raising safeguarding issues.
