1st January 1970 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

During and after our visit we spoke with six people about their care and treatment. Everybody told us that the dentist spent time discussing their treatment plan. One person said: "The dentist talks through the photographs and X-rays". Everybody we spoke with was very complimentary about the care they received. One person commented in a recent survey, "Dentist always listens and understands me very well; treatment is always done very kindly".

We also looked at patient records which enabled us to see the information recorded for each person's visit. The dentist had recorded their examination of soft tissues, teeth and other relevant observations.

The practice was located in a converted private house and we saw that the design, layout and security of the premises was fit for purpose and met the needs of everyone receiving care and treatment including those with disabilities.

We saw there were systems in place at this practice to reduce the risk and spread of infection. During our visit we spoke to clinical staff at the practice. They were aware of the safe practices required to meet the essential standards of Department of Health guidance.
