13th February 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We inspected Stoke Park Dental Surgery on 13 February 2014. We spoke with four people who used the service. Each person told us they were satisfied with the service they received. They told us how well the dentists explained to them their options for treatment and provided them with information to enable them to make their own decisions about their treatments.

One person we spoke with told us, “We have been coming here for many years, we have no complaints.” Another said, “We cannot rate them highly enough. It is a busy and friendly place. The dentist is very thorough and explains things to you in a patient manner.”

We saw comprehensive information was readily available to people who used the service and included the services available, costs for NHS and private treatment, and policies used within the practice.

We saw that provider had effective systems in place to deal with comments and complaints. People told us that they would be confident in discussing any comments or complaints with the practice manager it they felt it was necessary.

The surgery had sufficient processes in place to ensure that treatment was delivered safely. All areas of the building were clean and tidy. We found that there was robust infection control processes in place to ensure people were treated safely.

The practice operated on the ground floor so easy access was available for anyone using the service.
