29th January 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We carried out this inspection as part of our schedule of inspections to check on the care and welfare of people who used this service. The inspection was announced, which meant that the provider and the staff knew we were visiting. On the day of our inspection we spoke with four people, four staff and looked at six treatment records. People receiving treatment at the dental practice told us they were very happy with the care that they received. One person told us, “The dentist involved me in what he was doing and explained it all to me”. Another person told us, “I know I am in professional hands here “.

People told us they were involved in the planning of their treatment and were treated with dignity and respect. We observed that people were communicated with in a professional and friendly manner and that care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that ensured people's safety. We saw that people were cared for and treated by staff that had the appropriate knowledge and skills. Throughout our inspection the practice appeared clean and tidy.
