13th January 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People we spoke with told us they were respected and treated well. One person we spoke with told us “it’s a good experience at the dentist, they are very thorough. There is always plenty of time to have a discussion and for me to ask questions.” Another person said “nothing is left untold and they are very thorough with costs. It’s a positive experience from the minute you walk in.”

We found treatment was planned and delivered in a way that ensured people's safety and welfare. Medical histories with people were completed and updated at each visit. People we spoke with all confirmed that when they visited their dentist they went through their medical history with them and asked them about their current medication.

People who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse. There was a safeguarding policy in place for the protection of vulnerable children and adults and all staff had attended training in safeguarding.

We saw that people would have their comments and complaints listened to and acted on, without the fear they would be discriminated against for making a complaint.
