27th November 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

As part of our inspection we spoke with three parents whose children used the service. All said they were very happy with the service, communication and information was good and that their child was looked after well by the staff and provided with care and support that met their needs.

One parent said their child was; “Completely cared for and looked after. The staff ask about preferences and follow them.” Another said; “Staff communicate well and give me the information I need. They do the things my child likes. My child loves going and is always welcomed and responded to.” Another said; ““I don’t know what I would do without the service. The staff are wonderful. Over all the years I have had no problems.”

The staff we spoke with said they enjoyed working for the service, there was a good team spirit and they received appropriate training and assessments of their competency.

We looked at care planning records, safeguarding processes and procedures and examples of quality monitoring and assurance mechanisms. The records we reviewed assured us the provider had taken appropriate steps to ensure children’s needs were met and they were kept safe.
