13th January 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

During our inspection we spoke with two people who used the service, the provider and two members of staff. We also viewed three people’s records. People we spoke with told us they had been coming to the practice for a long time. One person said the dentist explains everything, “the treatment and the cost”. Another person told us they could always get appointment and said the staff were “helpful and pleasant”.

People’s records showed that their medical histories were checked when they visited the service. People had also signed the relevant form to show they had consented to their treatment plan.

People we spoke with were happy with the standard of cleanliness of the practice. We saw there were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection.

The practice was being staffed appropriately to meet the needs of the people who used it.

People said they would be confident to raise any concerns they might have, however those we spoke with said they didn’t have any complaints.
