12th October 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke to two patients who were visiting the practice during our visit. They said that they had no complaints and were happy with the service provided.

Patients told us they were given various information about their treatment and knew what to expect. They explained that they felt the level of service was “good” and “no problems whatsoever.”. Everyone stated they were always consulted and they gave full consent about their treatment and check ups and were aware of their costs. They told us there was always a dental nurse assisting the dentist and they could ask as many questions as they wanted about their care.

Patients told us they were offered advice and good tips regarding health promotion. One patient was new but had already received several appointments for treatment which they were very satisfied about.

The clinic was accessible to patients with mobility problems and had two treatment rooms on the ground floor which could accommodate people with mobility problems or in wheelchairs to be comfortably given their treatment. A recent patient survey carried out by the manager gave overall positive comments about patients experiences. The provider made some adaptions to the ramp rail at the front of the building following a suggestion from this survey. This showed that patient’s views were taken into account in the overall development of the service.
