7th February 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with four patients who told us they were satisfied with the service provided. They said they never experienced difficulties obtaining an appointment that suited their needs. One person said “I receive a good personalised service” and “I would never consider changing to anyone else”. Another person said “It is very comfortable there” and “I feel looked after”.

Patients said their treatment plans were always explained and discussed with them, including choices about treatment and costs. Patients said that all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Patients were protected from the risk of abuse as staff had received training in the safeguarding of vulnerable adults and children. There were written instructions for staff to follow in order to report suspected abuse.

Although we found the location to be clean and tidy, we found that there were not effective systems in place to reduce the risk and the spread of infection.

There was a system in place to ensure the provider monitored and maintained the quality of service provision at the practice.
