5th June 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We looked at records, which were factual and up to date. Patients' medical history, treatment plans and personal preferences were regularly reviewed and updated.

We spoke with three members of staff, who were suitably qualified and had undertaken relevant training during their employment. One patient said, "The dentist and hygienist treat me with care and respect". Another said, "The reception is always friendly and welcoming”.

Patients said that the service delivery was very good. The people we spoke with were all very positive about the treatment they received and spoke highly of the staff.

We saw that policies and procedures were accessible to staff and emergency medical equipment was in place. Staff followed decontamination processes and adhered to hygiene procedures.

We observed that there was a complaints procedure and that comments and feedback were sought by the practice. These were used to inform changes and improvements to the service delivered.
