16th April 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People told us that they were treated with respect. The cost of treatment was always given before any treatment was carried out. They told us they were supported to make decisions and choices regarding their care and treatment. One person said “The dentist always discusses any treatment and gives me advice.” Another told us “The dentist is not only ‘good’ but an ‘excellent’ dentist. My whole family have been coming here for many years.”

People had treatment plans which set out their treatment needs and costs.

People told us they did not have to wait too long for appointments and that they were always welcomed in a friendly manner. One person said “No problem in getting an appointment. They fit you in if you have a problem and it is an emergency.”

People commented to us that they thought the surgery and practice building were clean. One person said “The surgery is very clean and is always kept tidy.”

We spoke with the staff who told us they were well supported to ensure they were up to date in their clinical practice.

The provider undertook regular audits to monitor and review the quality and safety of the service provided.
