During our inspection, patients we spoke with gave positive feedback about the care and treatment they received. One patient said, “Excellent service, excellent care. I am very pleased.” Another patient told us, “The dentist is very good. I am happy with the treatment.”

Five patients we spoke with said that the dentist had explained to them the treatment options open to them and the costs involved. One patient told us, “They are very professional. They sent me a reminder when my appointment was due. The dentist explained the options as well as the cost. I am very pleased with the treatment.” Another patient said, “The dentist always give me good advice.”

Patients also told us that the staff were always friendly and polite. One patient said, “The staff are very good. The receptionist, the first person you see when you arrive, is always friendly and welcoming.”

The members of staff we spoke with had knowledge of the safeguarding procedures for the protection of vulnerable adults and children.

We found that the service had an effective quality monitoring system in place, which had included regular auditing of all aspects of the practice, including monitoring the infection control procedures. The service followed the hygiene code of practice and the guidelines on the decontamination of surgical instruments issued by the Department of Health.
