We spoke with two people who were receiving treatment at the time of the inspection. One person told us, “I am very happy with the care provided here. They do an excellent job and are particularly good with children.” Another person said “The practice is very punctual you see the dentist on time. They explain the cost of any treatment and give you choices.”

People were asked to give their consent before treatment began. People told us they were provided with details of the risks and benefits of various treatments. The expectations from various treatments were explained in detail. We saw people's medical and dental health needs were accurately documented and updated at each visit.

We saw the practice was clean and hygienic and the staff followed appropriate infection control policies and procedures. People told us staff always wore protective equipment such as gloves, goggles and visors when providing care and treatment.

Staff told us they felt well supported by management and were offered appropriate training at regular intervals. We saw staff were appraised annually and attended regular team meetings that informed them of new policies, procedures and ways of working.

People had written comments in the customer comments book. One person wrote “A full and detailed quote was provided, which I accepted after full consideration.” Another wrote “I was put at ease by the friendly and professional attention given.”
