30th October 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We carried out an inspection at The Neem Tree to look at the care and treatment provided to patients who used the service. During our inspection we spoke with three staff, including one dentist and the registered manager. We spoke with two patients who visited the practice that day and spoke to two more patients on the telephone following our visit. We reviewed four patient records and made observations throughout the inspection.

Patients told us they felt well informed about their treatment and were always advised of the individual options available to them. When asked if they were treated with dignity and respect, each patient agreed.

Patients told us that the service was “Excellent” because the dentists offered clear explanations and choices. Comments about the care and treatment were positive and included “I would recommend them to everyone.”

During our visit we saw that all areas of the practice were clean and hygienic. Patients we spoke with commented positively and described the cleanliness of the environment as “It’s always clean” and “I have no concerns.”

We saw that there was a complaints process and patients told us that they would speak to staff if they had any complaints.
