1st November 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We met seven people who used the service and with their permission joined four people during their consultation and treatment. All spoke positively about the standard of the dental care they received. Several people told us that they had been attending the service for many years. One person told us, “I have only ever had a good experience here, I rate it 10 out of 10.” Another person commented, “I have a good dentist, I have been coming here quite some time, no qualms at all, the whole family come here.”

People told us that they had confidence in the staff’s abilities and were happy with the standard of dental work they received and would recommend the service to others. One person told us, “Yes I would recommend it to anybody; I can’t find any fault what so ever.”

People told us they felt respected by the friendly staff who fully involved them in decisions about their dental care and treatment. Two people described staff as, “Lovely.” People told us, where applicable, they were given information on how much their treatment would cost.

We found the service to be well led and had effective systems in place to ensure they could respond to people’s dental needs within a timely manner.

We observed that the reception and clinical areas were clean and tidy. One person told us, “It is no different today because you’re here; (the environment) is always pleasant.”
