17th December 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with three patients, all of whom had used the practice for some years and who said that they were given adequate information about the service so that they could make decisions about their treatment. They said the centre was clean. One person said that she was “a contented customer”. Another said all her family used the service and she had been happy with the care provided for her children. There were positive comments about the service in the last completed report of people’s satisfaction from August 2012.

There were suitable processes for staff training and professional development. Staff were supported by the provider's systems and policies. Each person was assessed for their suitability prior to any treatment. There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. Staff had been trained in infection control and for emergency situations.

The provider had systems to review and monitor the quality and safety of the service provided. This was in conjunction with the formal contract monitoring of the service by the PCT.
