18th January 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke to five people who were attending the dental centre during our inspection on 18 January 2013. One person we spoke with said, “I have been coming here since I was a child and have had many check ups and treatments. It’s a nice dental centre and the staff are friendly and put you at ease." Another person said, "I have had treatment today and felt the dentist explained what they were going to do and explained the choices that were available to me."

There were suitable arrangements in place to safeguard people from the risk of abuse. Staff demonstrated they would act appropriately to safeguard children and vulnerable adults, if abuse was alleged or suspected.

Appropriate infection control procedures were in place to assure people were not at risk of infection.

The premises had been well maintained and were clean and fitted with modern and appropriate fixtures and fittings. A fire alarm system had been regularly serviced and fire safety precautions had been taken to ensure that people were protected against the risks of fire.
