People we met and talked with at the Talbot Clinic were complimentary about the care and treatment they received from the clinic. We saw people treated with dignity and kindness and their confidentiality was respected. One person told us, "everyone I have spoken to has been lovely".

All staff were trained to deal with medical emergencies and demonstrated they had effective, safe equipment which was fit for purpose.

People told us they were given detailed assessments and treatment plans. They said they had enough time and information to make informed decisions about their care and treatment. They were informed about potential risks, the benefits of treatment and the alternative options. They said they knew the cost of treatment before work took place. People said they found staff well trained and professional.

One person commented: "I came here because it was recommended to me and I have received an excellent service. I am extremely happy here and I would recommend it myself."

We looked at the infection control and decontamination processes and found there were safe systems in place to prevent cross infection and maintain hygiene in the practice.

People we met and talked with at The Talbot Clinic were happy with their care and treatment. They said they were given enough time and information to make informed decisions about their care. This included the risks and benefits of treatment and the alternative options. They said costs of proposed treatment were also clear. People said they found staff well trained and professional. One person commented: "I have full confidence in everyone here."

People said they were given full assessments and proposed treatment plans. They were told of any discomfort they might encounter following any treatment and how long it would be expected to last. People decided with the dentist's advice how frequently they should attend for check-ups but otherwise could make an appointment at any time.

One person we met said the clinic was "a professional practice with its customers at its heart." Another person said: "if going to the dentist is ever pleasant, coming here is pleasant."

We found the clinic treated people with privacy, dignity and confidentiality. The staff were trained to deal with medical emergencies and had equipment fit for purpose. Infection control and decontamination were safely managed, although there was a lack of a systems-wide approach to managing the decontamination process.
