25th February 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with four people about their treatment at the practice. We spoke with both dentists, one who was the registered provider. We spoke with one of the dental nurses and the receptionist. One person told us, “I am relaxed here and trust my dentist. I am happy with all the treatment I have had.” Another person told us they had been with the dentist for many years and would not go anywhere else. Another person said they had changed dentists because had been unhappy at their previous one. They said, “I am always seen in a timely way, and trust the dentist. They give me all the information I need to make the right decision about my treatment.“

People were involved and consulted about their treatment and given sufficient information to enable them to make informed choices about their treatment.

The service had good staff recruitment practices, and provided appropriate support and training to its staff to ensure they could fully meet people’s needs.

The premises were fit for purpose and there were robust procedures in place to ensure equipment was properly sterilised and safe to use to protect people from health care acquired infections
