24th January 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

The patients we spoke with were satisfied staff at the practice listened to their views, showed them respect and involved them in decisions about their care and treatment. We found patients’ privacy was respected and promoted.

Patients told us they were very happy with the care and treatment they received at Park View Dental Practice. Patients told us: “Great practice, friendly staff”; “I’ve known the senior dentist for years, a really good professional who is committed to his patients”; “They really look after you well. I get a good service.”

Patients who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse, because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening.

The surgeries were clean and hygienic. Patients were satisfied with the levels of cleanliness at the practice. Patients told us: “Got no problems with cleanliness, second to none”; “The surgery is always really clean when I arrive there. I’ve used the toilet and it’s spotless”; “The surgery is clean. The dentist and his staff are always properly attired. I feel I my dental needs are met in a very clean practice.”

Effective staff recruitment and selection processes were in place. We found steps had been taken to make sure only suitable staff were employed at the practice.
