14th January 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We visited The Wardle Dental Clinic to look at the care and treatment provided to people who used the service. During our inspection we spoke with one person, four members of staff, the provider and one dentist. Six people completed a questionnaire for us. We observed one treatment session and looked at four patient records.

People told us that their privacy and dignity was respected. They stated that were provided with a treatment plan that included the cost of their treatment. People were complimentary about the care and treatment they received from all the staff at the practice. They told us they felt safe when attending the practice for their treatment and that their treatment was always provided in private.

People informed us that the surgeries and reception areas were always clean and tidy and they were provided with protective equipment when they received their treatment.

All but one person told us they knew how to make a complaint but they had never had to make a complaint.

We found the service was compliant with the five outcomes we looked at.
