During our visit to thirty three market square we met with the provider, Dr Jasvinder Jugdev. We spoke with three members of staff. We spoke with four patients and looked at three patient records.

All of the patients we spoke with were very happy with the dental treatment they received. One patient told us “they’re really friendly. They explain what they’re doing and why they’re doing it. I don’t feel rushed”. Another patient said “It’s lovely and pleasant. They look after you brilliantly. He [the dentist] takes extreme care with my teeth which are very ropey”. We looked at patient records which confirmed the treatment patients said they had received.

Patients we spoke with told us the practice was always clean and tidy; “immaculate”. The practice operated processes, and followed procedures, that minimised the risk and spread of infection because current guidelines were followed.

Staff told us they were supported to carry out their roles. We saw that staff received training specific to their job and that they received an annual review of their performance. One member of staff said “I feel I’ve done a lot and progressed a lot. I feel encouraged to do training. They [the dentists] state the importance of it”.

The practice had systems in place to seek and act on patient feedback and carried out audits to monitor clinical quality.

People spoken with by telephone were very complimentary about the quality of care they received at the practice. People told us they were "impressed with the service and would have no hesitation in recommending the practice to a friend". They told us they felt safe with the practice and were always involved in their care and treatment. They said they were given clear information about treatment options and the costs involved.
