18th June 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People who used the service told us they were given options about their treatment. One person said, “The dentist explains the options available and gives me time to discuss them.” Another person said, “The dentist gives advice but at the end of the day it is my choice.”

People who used the service told us that they did not have to wait long for an appointment. They felt that the practice was very welcoming and relaxing. One person said, “The staff are very pleasant and approachable.” Another said, “The staff make what could be a nervous situation a pleasant one.”

Processes were in place to ensure that equipment was clean and safe to use. We spoke with four people who used the service and they were all satisfied with the cleanliness of the practice.

We saw that staff had access to training and development. Staff enjoyed working at the practice and felt supported in fulfilling their role. We spoke with people who used the service and they all commented that the practice was very welcoming. They all said that the staff were very friendly. One person said, “The staff are good at their job, kind, caring and professional.”

The practice had a process in place to monitor people’s views about the service offered. People we spoke with told us that they had never had to complain about the service.
