29th June 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

When we visited the practice it was a fairly quiet period over a lunch time, however we were able to speak with one person who had just received treatment from one of the dentists. He was complimentary about the service offered and was able to outline how his dentist always took time to explain what treatment was going to take place at that appointment or alternatively talk through treatment options, including fees. He said that he felt well cared for by his dentist and, whilst he didn't relish going to see the dentist,he is happy to attend when treatment is required. He said he was involved in his treatment and had choice in the type of treatment he received. He said that he'd been late for his appointment today but that the staff were able to ensure he received the required treatment.

He said the practice was satisfactory when it came to cleanliness. He said the dentists always wore protective equipment.

He said he'd never had cause to complain, but if he had any issues about anything he would feel able to tell the staff.
