15th October 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

A range of oral health information was available in the two comfortable waiting rooms. Information about the costs of treatments were always discussed personally with the practice manager. Oral health products were available to purchase.

Treatments were provided in three surgeries on the ground floor, with hygienist's rooms on the first floor. Treatments were undertaken in alternate surgeries, to allow the room to be clean and restocked as required between patients.

We found that the practice had policies from the British Dental Association in place, that would enable staff to escalate any concerns in relation to safeguarding children or adults.

We found that staff attended training and undertook on going continued professional development. This was required to maintain the requirements for registration with the General Dental Council and it's professional register.

We found that the whole of the surgery was maintained to a high standard. The reception, waiting rooms and surgeries were clean and organised well. The practice had a decontamination room and re useable instruments were managed in accordance to British Dental Association guidance.
