8th March 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

The provider told us that prior to any treatment, an examination would take place followed by a consultation where treatment options, costs, risks and benefits were explained. We were told that a number of methods were used to support and enhance treatment explanations including use of digital x-rays, video animations, models and clinical photographs. Written treatment plans were not routinely provided but were available upon request.

People we spoke with were positive about the quality of care and treatment received. One person referred to the dentist as someone who, “clearly enjoys his job” whilst another person commented that the practice was, “extremely well run and efficient.”

None of the people we spoke with expressed concern about the safety of the environment where care and treatment was delivered. One person referred to the dentist as, ”incredibly caring.”

Staff Continuing Professional Development included infection control and prevention. This enabled staff to provide care and treatment to patients safely and in a way that minimised infection risks.

None of the people we spoke with expressed concerns about the accuracy or confidentiality of patient records. One person referred to the practice as, “thoroughly professional.”
