12th April 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with two people using the service. Both were very satisfied with the treatment and service provided.

One person using the service had been attending the same practice for many years. They said, “I wouldn’t have remained a patient for so long if I had been unhappy about the service provided”.

The people we spoke with said they felt they were involved in decisions about their treatment and their views had been respected.

One person told us, “The dentist explains the treatment needed and we discuss the options available, I feel involved in the decisions made”.

Another person said, “The dentist discusses and advises me about preventative treatment which I like”.

One person using the service had been attending for several years and told us, “It’s an excellent service, friendly and welcoming. The dentist and staff all know me by my first name”.

The people we spoke with said their medical history had been checked at every visit. They said, “It is easy to make an appointment and waiting times are good”.

People told us they felt protected and safe when receiving treatment and they thought the service was clean. They said staff wore gloves and protective clothing such as masks and gloves during treatments.

We asked the people we spoke with if they had ever had any complaints about the service. They told us they had never had cause to complain.
