We spoke with four patients who used the service. We also spoke with the principal dentist, one dental nurse and the receptionist.

Patients told us that they felt well informed and were happy with the care and treatment that they received. They told us that they understood the costs involved and that they found the practice very ‘friendly’ and ‘welcoming’.

We looked at the training and procedures in place to safeguard people. We found that staff were trained and information on safeguarding was available in the practice.

We reviewed the facilities and practice in relation to infection control. Patients told us the practice was clean, that staff washed their hands regularly and wore protective clothing. We found that risks associated with cross infection had been fully assessed.

We looked at the systems and processes the practice had in place to respond to complaints. These provided information to patients on how to make a complaint and who else to contact if necessary.
