We spoke with three patients attending the surgery for an appointment who confirmed they were asked to sign their consent to treatment. We saw copies of signed consent forms in patient records.

We saw that all areas were clean and tidy. There were a variety of leaflets and posters in the reception area. These gave information about NHS fees, opening times and out of hours/emergency arrangements. We saw information about opening times and the names of the dentists working within the practice.

Information relating to oral hygiene was available and a variety of oral health products were available to buy.

We spoke with three patients who gave positive feedback about their treatment at the practice.

We saw patient feedback was sought by the practice in the form of questionnaires. The information gathered was used to improve the service. We saw the analysis of the most recent survey and saw the results were mostly positive.

We saw that audits of systems were carried out on a regular basis. Where issues were identified by the audits appropriate action was taken.

We saw the continuing professional development (CPD) files for three dental nurses and one dentist that showed knowledge and skills were regularly checked and updated.
