8th August 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

Following our inspection of the service we spoke with twelve people by telephone who had received treatment at the practice on the day of our visit.

All the people we spoke with were very complimentary about the service and treatment they had received at Wivenhoe Dental Practice and would recommend the practice to family and friends.

One person told us "On the whole the service is pretty good and the treatment is verging on excellent."

Another person told us "I and my husband are more than satisfied, we always get a very good service."

Another person said " I have been an NHS patient with the practice for about ten years and it is brilliant."

All the people we spoke with said that the staff were very helpful and friendly. One person told us "They are a good bunch." Another person said " The receptionists are always cheerful." Everybody said that they did not experience any difficulties in getting appointments.

All the people we spoke with told us that they were always provided with information about their treatment in a way that they could understand and that it had included options, risks and costs. They all felt they had been very involved in their treatment.
