17th February 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with four patients. They told us staff treated them with dignity and respect. One patient said, “The way the dentist greets you is very welcoming.” We found that patients expressed their views and were involved in making decisions about their care and treatment.

Patients told us they were very happy with the care and treatment they had received. One patient said, “I also feel we always get the best in terms of treatment and advice.” We found that care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure patients' safety and welfare.

Patients told us they felt the premises were kept clean. One patient said, “I think it’s brilliant, excellent.” We found there were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection.

Patients told us they felt staff knew what they were doing when caring for them. One patient said, "He [the dentist] knows completely what he’s doing.” We found staff received appropriate professional development.

We found that systems were in place for seeking the views of patients. We also found that the provider assessed and monitored the quality of service that patients received.
